GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITES:
Assist in providing safe transportation of students to and from designated locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Assist individual students or small groups of students with their transportation needs.
- Alert the bus driver to any problems or concerns about an individual student.
- Operate and care for equipment used on or around vehicles.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- The ability to take direction and complete assigned tasks.
- Work cooperatively with parents, community and staff.
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to communicate effectively with staff, students, and community members.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must regularly move about a classroom to monitor students and work closely with them in a variety of settings (on the carpet, at their desk, at the playground).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee regularly works outdoors or inside a vehicle.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
